Sauerkraut is a rich source of FIBER and VITAMIN C – it contains natural lactic acid and is a result of the natural fermentation of cabbage. PREPARATION: Sauté onions in olive oil or butter. Add the sauerkraut and immediately add 1/2 liter of water or, even better, broth, for every kilogram of sauerkraut. Simmer everything for about 30 minutes. You can season with dill and caraway seeds. Adding a few slices of apple will make the sauerkraut more delicate. This way you will have a delicious side dish to serve hot with sausages or meat. We also remind you that sauerkraut can be served as is, without cooking, as a cold appetizer, which you can season to your taste.
